The BRZ stats tell me the car will pull a 0.9 G. If I remember correctly, the '84 Corvette shocked the testers by pulling a 1.0 G!
I found my stats. From my original '84 sales catalog:
"The Z51 Performance Handling Package . . . generates 0.95 g under lateral acceleration on GM's skidpad."
"In a special test to determine the upper limits of the new Corvette's lateral acceleration capability, a Z51 equipped car with full treaded VR tires and 16" x 9 1/2" wheels front and rear was adjusted to maximum negative camber. The mythical "g" barrier was broken-a sustained reading of 1.01 g."
And tire technology has come a long way since 1984, too!

The C4 brought in a breath of fresh air for American sports cars. Back in their day, they really were awesome cars. The computers, sensors and other high-tech bits, as effective as they are, had the unfortunate effect of alienating a lot of the faithful so over time the C4 got the "redheaded stepchild" nickname. It is the model that bridged the beloved old-school 'Vettes and the beloved modern 'Vettes. It is what it is, and anyone who bad mouths the C4 is simply ignorant. Even the early L98 models were excellent sports cars... mountains of torque and killer handling. I won't even get started on the ZR-1.
These guys in the video are good. They mostly deal with JDM cars. They had a competition with the Roadkill guys building each other cars. The roadkill guys built a BB Impala and these guys built a WRX "ute". They are talented, but it seemed in the video that they aren't into V8 muscle. They have access to all sorts of Holdens and Aussie Fords but they focus on JDM stuff. They have no clue about anything Corvette. Zero.
