The motor in my car.... No, its not a motor... its an engine!
Motor- a rotating machine that transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy
Engine-a machine for converting any of various forms of energy into mechanical force and motion
Not to mention how peoples tell you there most intmate thoughts and who did what to them and how they would never do that to them and how that wasn't right and they will mess them up but they won't meet them cuz there scared and how that one time they stood up for them but they don't appreciate it and stuff you know and they were bestest bffs but then they sort of said they were sorry and how you felt sorry for them and decided not to make a big deal out of it a
nd everything but then you heard they were telling everyone else that you apologised to them and it was cool now and how you realized you were wrong and everything and after all you were friends all these years and your wifes and kids all got along and did sh*t together and always had a lots of good times and everyone was like family's you know
When someone joins up here to post a vague question about their very rare corvette, of course with no details. And only asking because "they want to know for their own sake" when in reality they think they have a car worth a million bucks.
1: one that imparts motion; specifically : prime mover
2: any of various power units that develop energy or impart motion: such as
a : a small compact engine
b : internal combustion engine; especially : a gasoline engine
c : a rotating machine that transforms electrical energy into mechanical energy
3: motor vehicle; especially : automobile

The wording doesn't really bother me though. What I have a pet peeve about is the misrepresented stuff for sale. For example parts that are listed for a certain year, but they are obviously the wrong part for that year, the statements of all stock and original but you can see multiple non stock items, wheels advertised as the wrong bolt pattern or size, non GS LT4 cars advertised as GS, non ZR1 cars advertised as ZR1, L98 cars advertised as LT1, and lots of others that they should know what they have, but don't.
When people use the word "ignorant" in place of "rude". They are 2 different things. Although it could be said that in some instances when someone has displayed behavior that seems rude there is is a possibility that they simply "lack knowledge" of proper behavior or eticate. But I find that to be extremely rare. Most times when someone calls another "ignorant" it is done in a complaining manor with disdaine because the other person has been "rude" on purpose or is just selfish. Rude people are just that...rude. Ignorant people just lack knowledge on something.

I really think that's a soda/pop/cola/coke type thing. People from different places call it different things. Last I checked though, the oil made specifically for our cars has the words "motor oil" on it. :-)
My pet peeve is when someone says there is nothing wrong with the car - and then they say "except the muffler fell off". I'm fine with words being switched up - 'break' instead of 'brake' - only because I figure most people don't know enough about cars anyways and have a hard enough time getting 'their' and 'they're' correct. :-P
A bigger pet peeve might be when people are stuck in their ways and won't accept anything else as fact. Technology progresses and things change. Once I realize they're not even willing to think about something differently I figure the discussion is pointless. Personal preferences are one thing, ignoring facts is another.
