Default Lowering Wedge Question on 89'

Hey Guys,

Doing the Mid America front lowering wedges on my 89' and im on the front spring reinstall portion. I cut about a 1/4 inch or a little less of the top of the spring brackets as directed by the instructions. When I bolted the brackets back in, they dont seem to reach the frame. Almost like I cut the brackets short...Anyone have this issue when installing these?

Thanks!

Wait, I thought you were supposed to cut the spring PAD not the metal itself...do you have a picture of what you cut?

Oh I see what you mean now. I know some people use rubber to fill the gap between the brackets and frame, kinda like spacers so the brackets keep the spring snug to the wedge.

Here are 2 very useful threads:

Hope it helps but you're on the right track

Thank you for the help. It looks like I did everything the same as these threads. Maybe I installed my mono leaf incorrectly and its not seating. I need to get under there tonight and look.
