Default Corvette Central??

I'm curious what type of experience everyone has had with them. Reason I ask is that I ordered a part that said "In Stock ready to ship" but after a week with no correspondence indicating shipped I emailed them to find out that it actually is backordered. I ordered April 24. They said ships 5/15. Now they say June 15. Sorry but I think this is poor service. I would not have ordered when I did if it said backordered. What experience has everyone else had? I don't think I will order from them again.

No problems here. I have not bought 'a lot' from them or any other single vendor. Typically I spread it around as long as I'm getting a quality product of equal value. Figure if everyone gets some business, more like to keep stocking the parts we need.

Got a pair of OEM style mufflers here. No problems.

What did you order? If you don't mind me asking?

I've order from Corvette central for 22 years (for the same 88 car) and have had no problems. Hopefully they will correct the problems.

I had the same crap as OP. I ordered front and rear sway bar bushings that were "in stock" only to find out a week later that it was back ordered. Now it's being shipped in 3 parts, first the lube (lol) then 2 weeks later the front bushings finally shipped. No word on when the rears will ship. But apparently last week they expected them in "today". Not so thrilled.

I haven't ordered anything from CC for quite a few years. Last time was during their move but before that I didn't have any issues. Sounds like they aren't keeping up with the in stock items. Might be a case where their program is flawed or the stock purchasing agent is on vacation or playing golf every day. I posted this a while back. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-shipment.html

Many problems with Ecklers, especially what you had happen with CC. My only issue with CC is slow and pricey shipping. I generally avoid buying from them.

About the shipping costs. Only ordered from them twice. And I had trouble selecting a shipping method. But both items arrived within days.

In my short time with a 'vette (less than 2 years) I've seen small items at Ecklers go up 50 percent in price. But no problems with their shipping, other than cost.

Used Corvette Central in March ordering several small items, coolant hoses, etc. 1 item backordered which arrived less than a week later. my experience with CC and Corvette America has generally been positive. Will never buy from Eckler's ever again after getting ripped on refunds for incorrectly shipped parts.

I've ordered a fair bit from them and 9 out of 10 times I have been quite happy. Once and a while a part doesn't ship as soon as I would hope but other than that no problems. Their shipping charges to Canada are pretty high but so is every american vendor's shipping, I just ship to a us shipping address and pick it up myself.

I have used them a few times. Generally good results.

Parts have arrived as expected. The last order had a backorder part on it. It came in a couple weeks which is what I expected.

However, I generally don't buy from them (or Ecklers or Mid America) because the prices are high. Frequently they are a pass through from GM parts with a mark up (especially Ecklers) and it costs less to get them elsewhere for the same parts.

Never had a bad experience with CC in over one and a half decades of owning Corvettes - tho I haven't bought much from them, over the years. That may change now as one of the other suppliers I used to depend on has slipped badly in the past few years...including their website (navigability).

I've had fairly good results from CC. Occasionally, an unusual part for my C1 has been backordered for several weeks and I would cancel and go somewhere else.
I try to take advantage of their on line discounts and free shipping offers when I can.

I never used CC but had good luck with Eckler's and I have used them several times the last few years.
