Default Speaker Question

I now have an 88 35th. It's in excellent overall condition except 2 things.

1. The instrument panel is bright on the left side and dim on the right side.

2. There's a ton of squealing coming from the speakers. A lot of the noise corresponds with the throttle. I'm thinking the amps are bad. I don't want to change the radio because I like to keep things at least "looking" stock. Here's my question. Is it possible to replace the speakers with something other than Bose with the individual amps?

Sounds like you need new instrument lights. Xenon or LED's will give you a cooler operating bulb. It's possible you need new sockets also.

I only wish us early Bose owners could replace those amps so easily. I am an ex-Bose owner.

Turns out this "Dr. Don" is only 45 minutes from me. I'll have him check it out next week.

Good luck with your collection. I have owned my 35th since 95.
