When I did this in my garage, I just left the wrench on the driver's seat so when I got in I would always remember it was not tightened down.

I just bought the cordless driver and long T40 socket.... just waiting for the rain to go away....

But I really don't want to put the top back on until winter!

I always bolt mine down when the roof is on, I don't want the roof to go flying. I also bought a power screwdriver & the torx bit. It takes no time to take the roof off & put back on now.

I'm now convinced I should drive this more, with the top off, and just put it on when I park (ie at work)

makes sense. it will be easy enough to do.
