Well my son and I made it back home this evening. After 4969 miles driven I'm glad to take a break. Trip was fantastic Ive wanted to do this for over 25 years. The car drove almost flawless and took everything Mother Nature and I dished at it. It never stopped in 8 days straight. Drove through raining mountains and just plain mountains, The Mohave desert twice (103* going and 107* coming), around Death Valley, through Las Vegas. MANY times it ran 85-90 non stop on the long straights and gradual curves.
All in all it was a great experience, one my son and I will never forget. I know someone was watching over us the entire time and out 31 year old Vette made it just that much more fun and a conversation piece!

Thank you for sharing the road with you and your son with us, seeing all the places you seen.
Truly trip to remember for decades to come.

rt 66
So ive wanted to do a RT. 66 for years. Either being broke when I was a kid or when I had the money I never had the time (everyone's story right?).
So after I bought my cheap junker C4 in February I said you know what I'm going to it this year with this car. So my 7 year old and I left the house at 6:45 this morning, went to the gas station, fueled the car and was on the road by 6:58.
