James. The OEM radio is 1.5 DIN. Almost impossible to find a new unit that size. I think 1.5's are custom made for the Corvette but are not cheap.. I went with a single DIN because of price. Changing to a double DIN will require a new and different center instrument panel.
For the door speakers you can install a 4 inch with very little problems. The Bose speaker has 3 mounting holes. A regular speaker will have 4 so you will have to cut slots to mount. The 6x9's need to be low profile in order to use the Bose speaker covers. That's it.
