I own a 1995 C4 Corvette that I have rebuilt everything throughout the entire vehicle except for the paint. Today I went to start the vehicle and got three warning lights. The ARS, ARS OFF and ANTILOCK BRAKE lightsl were on. Has anyone else experienced this? I ran A complete diagnostic and got no codes. I am confused. What should I do now?

Check the brake fluid level first. Having low fluid will trigger those lights.

Yup. Adding the slightest amount will make the lights go away.

For a few weeks, mine would come on under hard acceleration. It wouldn't go off until the car was turned off and turned back on. Stopped doing it on it's own.

Sometimes even adding fluid to the FILL line isn't enough for the lights to turn off. Fill the reservoir as close to the top of the reservoir lid as you can. The fill line usually is about 1/4" to 3/8" from the top and if the fluid gets moved around from hard acceleration or cornering, the sensor will pick up the lack of fluid and turn the lights on.

I checked the brake fluid and found it to be really dark, almost a coffee color. Will replacing the fluid thoughout the system help?

I changed out the booster and master cylinder this past Summer. Everything was working fine until we got our first freeze. A day later I started the car and the ADR light came on. As soon as I drive about 50 feet, the ABS service light comes on.

New battery reading 14.5 volts. I am thinking that with the old brake fluid in the system, the fluid may have sludge that reacted to the cold weather. Will replace the brake once the weather lighten up. Will let you know when I'm done.

Once I realized the ABS pump was not priming when I turned the key on, I knew the problem was the pump. Changed out the pump and all is well with my Vette.

Thanks for all the help.

Since the pump is located in the compartment behind the driver's seat, you will need a 14 mm Crowfoot flare wrench. Using a 1/4 in drive ratchet and a six inch extension you can remove all the lines working from the backside of the pump. Once the lines are removed, loosen the three mounting nuts with a short 10 mm wrench. Detach the wiring harness and the black wire before you start.

Once the new pump is installed, turn on the key and bleed one line at a time. Make sure you place a towel in the compartment before you begin.
