I have an 84 vette with stock wheels and was wondering if anyone had a link to a good quality, thinnest spacer/adapter that would allow me to put 17/18 inch wheels on it? Anything would help!
The wheel diameter won't affect whether you need spacers or not, as long as you are increasing just the diameter. The width and offset are what affect the need for spacers or not. Stock 84 wheels are 16x8.5 with 32mm offset (ET32). If you're sticking with 8.5" diameter, then just get 17x8.5 or 18x8.5 with the same 32mm offset, and you'll be fine. If you have a set of wheels in mind that have more offset (which would be common for later cars), then you can use spacers to subtract the extra offset. For example, if you get a set of 17x8.5 with 56mm offset, then you want 20mm spacers to get the total offset back to 32mm or thereabouts.
Whatever tire size you choose, try to stay within 25.6-26.1" diameter, too. So a 245/45r17 for the 17x8.5 is perfect, and a 245/40r18 for the 18x8.5 is perfect.

If you want to run any C6 wheels on your car, I have adapters that will let you do such that I am ready to sell because I no longer need them. Let me know if you're interested.
I ran C6 base rims on my car for like 5 years and loved them.

I have an 88 (wider suspension) with an 84-87 front cradle (narrow suspension) with 20mm spacers on the front (longer ARP wheel studs) and I am running c5Z06 wheels.
fronts are 275/40r17 falken RT615K
rears are 315/30r18 toyo R888R
works like a champ.
small (non-z51) brakes on the front, but I have the j55 setup on the shelf that would fit just fine.
