So yesterday I replaced the CTS on my 91. Now I'm getting the Low Coolant light coming on at random times. Some coolant of course was lost when i pulled the CTS and the short hose above it for better access. Once job was completed I did add additional coolant to replace the lost coolant. Coolant system is doing its job, engine temps under all driving conditions are normal.
The last time i replaced the CTS this issue never happened. Would this indicate there just might be a bit of air in system?

Thats a pretty easy sensor to jump/check. On my car its in the right hand rear of the motor under the coolant reservoir.
So are you saying you think it could be an occasional false reading of the sensor and not caused by actual system problem?
Could be.. ijs testing the switch could give you some info. Does it display low coolant when you first turn it on or when it gets hot? Radiator cap can cause this issue too.

It comes on when cold and hot and so far have seen to pattern on when it comes on or goes back off. Again, the cooling system is working as it should so starting to think more to a screwed up sensor.
Is the surge tank full? Where did you add the coolant to...surge tank (near windshield) or the overflow tank (passenger side headlight).
the sensor is located on the bottom of the surge tank. If the light wasn’t on before, make sure you have enough coolant. Just cause it’s running okay doesn’t mean it’ll have enough if the car gets hot and pushes some to the overflow.
