4+3 Overdrive Stopped Functioning
Hi, I have an 84 Corvette with a doug nash 4+3. The overdrive unit stopped functioning and I'm interested to know if anyone would know anything about how and why this has occurred. When it did work I had trouble with it staying in overdrive and it would seemingly slip. It slowly faded out and now does not work at all. I also have trouble getting it into reverse, I've heard this could be a related issue but I'm not sure. If anyone has any advice on this I'd be glad to here it.

Unfortunately with the issue with reverse, you might have a carrier bearing issue. Not uncommon with the early 4+3 transmissions.
Fluid change first though, can't hurt anything.
