Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum thing, so i'll give it a shot to see what happens....I have my first ever 89 Corvette convertible and it needs the top replaced, I bought a new top but it didn't come with any instructions or video on how to replace it.....I've been on youtube and can't seem to find anybody with a decent video for that year of car....I'm looking for any videos or instructions that show how to do it....it doesn't look like a big job being a such a small top, but i'm sure that could change....any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks
Sweet ride! I've had the top on my 89 replaced, but for the money i left it to someone who wasn't going to destroy my new top, like me. You get to tugging and pulling on things, and the frame gets tweaked? the things not going to work right, best advice is upholstery shop.
When I owned my 89 and all Corvette's are RED, which I had, I also had the professional do my top, and was told it would be a good time to replace the headliner while having new top installed.
I was also told after installations, let it sit in the sun, for couple days before going top-less.
I can say and others will say a good cleaner and protector I used Raggtop.
