Incredible.
Are you using the D36 rear end?
How did you adapt to the C beam and main drive shaft?
No more 36, I have a built Dana 44. The cbeam adapter came from SST. They have a complete kit when you go through them. Vey nice people as well to deal with. My only issue I had with the transmission was I had the hardest time trying to bleed the throw out bearing so I ended up removing the whole thing and installing a two line throw bearing from Mcleod. The original one had one line which was a pain in the *** to bleed. I also upgraded the master cylinder to a 7/8 Tilton.
Again, awesome. Is your 84 a Z51?
My dream car right now is an 84 Z51 slightly lowered with an LS swap and a T56 or a TKX and a Dana 44
Were you able to keep most of the factory gauges?
Are you using the 4+3 pedals and master cylinder?
yes it’s a Z51. It originally was an auto and I sourced the brake and clutch pedals online. Then I installed those which was to bad but still a pain. I upgraded to a Tilton Clutch master cylinder. I am able to use the factory gauges as well.
That's a very impressive swap! I couldn't see the videos after clicking on them unfortunately but I can imagine that car would sound incredible and be mind blowing to drive! Well done!

I am not to sure how to upload a video any other way. It really is a blast to drive. I have been able to get it out a couple of times this winter. Surprisingly it’s been pretty mild up here in Ct and I am fine with that.
If you don't mind, how much was the transmission and all that related stuff?
You make use of a factory driveshaft right?
What engine management are you using that is keeping the stock gauges working and running the LS?
In a general sense how does the LS swap compare to a highly built small block?
well. I am not sure how it would compare to a highly built SB but I know the weight savings alone was a big concern for me. The motor is pretty stout and makes great power for my needs. I am using a manual drive shaft with upgraded unions. The transmission kit from SST was around $7000. This included a digital Dakota speedo and tach converter which allowed me to take se the stock gauges. For engine management I went with FiTech Ultimate LS 700hp kit. I want two wide band o2’s and the ability to upgrade my engine with room to grow. If you are interested in this swap or just the Tremec TKX setup from SST check them out. SilverSportTransmissions.
