Default 84’ Build

Well a big piece of the puzzle came in today and I am super stoked!! Great packaging and awesome customer service the whole way through the process. I highly recommend SST for and C4 swaps. They really make great parts and take a lot of the fabing headaches out of the equation.

From what I hear the TKX is a great transmission!

I did a T56 magnum in my 88' as part of my LS swap, makes for a wonderful car to drive.

Are you just doing a Trans swap or do you have other things planned also?

Dm what did you do for hydraulics? Adapted an F body GM slave for parts availabilty, has to be a better solution

Did that conversion in my 67 'El...love it but sure wish I could afford the upgrade to the close ratio one.

It was a over a year ago, but as I recall there is a adapter fitting made by Russell that allows the use of a -4AN s/s line with the C4 master to the LS slave. I did an 4th gen LS1 F-body bellhousing, and for a clutch I did an Monster LT1-S twin disc for 4th gen LS1 F-body, the slave was included with the clutch kit as was the flywheel.

The clutch pedal is very light and easy to use, probably 70% lighter than it was prior to the swap.

I can shift at above 7000rpm so it seems to work well.

The TKX wasn't yet avaliable when I did the T56 magnum swap otherwise I would have given it serious consideration. Look forward to hearing how the OP likes it.

Awesome! Can't wait to see some pictures when your crate engine arrives.

I did an crate LS376/495 in my 05' CTS-V quite a few years ago and it's been a rock solid engine. Also love the built LS2 in my 88'. I Love the LS engines.

Well another major part just came in. I have to first thank Sikky Manufacturing for coming through with the crate motor!! I called them last week and it was at my house less than a week later. They were super easy to deal with, I I didn’t even have to wait four months. So I canceled my order with GMPP unfortunately but I couldn’t be waiting for ever. I finally got my hands on an LS3 376/525!! I also couldn’t leave it alone for to long. I like the look of the FiTech intake even if the stock LS3 makes more power.

Just a few more things going on the motor. And a bunch of rewiring to do.
