Dash noise
Just got a C4 for my collection 1996. Everything is in top shape but the lower part of the plastic vents on the dash at the passenger's side make a lot of noise rubbing on the dash. I could put something under the plastic vents between them and the dash to make it go away. But there has to be a better way on a car with less than 20k miles. Anyone had this come up or know a cure?

My 96 center dash vent also made noise. I removed the bolts and the vent. I then glued a thin rubber washer to the back side of each screw hole and installed it with the screws tight and the noise completely stopped. Dan

Thanks for that Dan and I'll keep that in mind. My large plastic vent part only has 2 torque screws but something else holds it in place. If I figure hoe to get it out I will likely put a thin amount of rubber silicone on it to separate it from the dash. Thanks for the idea.

I don't know if it's germane to your dash rattle or whatever it is, but I basically pulled al of the interior and added felt washers to all of the screws.
Ever since I did that, I get a rattle every once in a while, but not very often.
