Default LED headlight conversion

I have installed a set of LED headlights on my 1996 corvette. Was suppose to be plug and play, not! They stay on bright and will not change to dim. Need advice on what I need to do to fix the situation.

I have not done this before but I would check the harness plug with a test light or volt meter to be sure that is working correct. Then LEDs have a specific hot side and ground side. Maybe use a charger or battery to test lights to be sure they are not reversed. I have plugged some LED tail lights in that can fit 2 ways (180 degrees apart) and they will work one way but not the other.

You're okay. Buy these. Their plug and play, though you'll need to secure the module to the headlight housing so it doesn't rattle around. I had the same issue and these corrected it:

Short term fix : turn your fog lights off. The fogs are grounded through the headlight circuit so when they're on it causes the headlights to go bright regardless of anything you try to do.

Long term fixes :
Option #1 - Tear under your dash to the relays and ground the fog light relay directly to metal. Kind of a pain but this is the more elegant solution.
Option #2 - Or do the Circuit Doctor fix, outlined in << This Linked Thread >> . This may be essentially what that Canbus anti flicker harness would accomplish, I have no experience with that.

Edit : I just went to search out the Canbus harnesses on Amazon. The link posted in the prior post didn't work for me so I just did a manual search. There are not a lot of reviews on these but I found one that had 246 reviews, 4.5 star overall, and one of those reviews actually mentioned using it to fix this issue on a C4. One thing mentioned in that review though is the harness got extremely hot in operation so if you go this route maybe keep that in mind when you decide where to mount the module.

Edit #2 :
<< This One on Amazon >> << This One on Amazon >>
has over 1500 reviews, 4.4 star rating, and two of those reviews mention being used for c4 Corvettes.

I recently did #1 on my 93. Kinda sucked rooting around for that one wire to ground but now that it's done I'm glad I went that route.
