Great job. After I detail my motor I notice I check my oil more. While the hood is up a guy will come over and tell me:

#1 He had one and wished he never sold it.

#2 He is going to get one, one day.

#3 He has one but only drives it to shows

Fantastic job, keep up the good work.

wow, thanks guys. Makes me feel much better. I was worried that maybe it will have too much color and not look that great.
Fantastic Job...I wish I could do that kind of a job just half as good.
Sure you can, I'm not a professional painter either. Just takes some time to get it right.
What kind of paint did you use? Is that powder coat?

I'm putting on a pair of polished valve covers like those and can't quite figure out how to route the breather hose from the throttle body to the breather hole. Did you get different fuel rail covers or cut the ones you had to route the hose that way? I'm touching up a couple things in gloss black, not red.
I started off with regular rustoleum (sp?) enamel spray from sears, but that didn't come too good. So I bought a can of Peeler, and took all the paint off again. Then I just gave up on the spray can and went to an auto paint supply and got a quart of enamel paint. I used a spray gun, and it finally came out nice. And then I just got a can of clear coat, and used that to finish it up.
Here is a closer picture of the vacum hose from the valve cover. All I did is get a L connector and a piece of heater hose from autozone. The plstic tube that goes from the original valve cover is still there, I just connected the L connector to the end of it and the heater hose to the valve cover. I did cut away a little of the fuel injector cover, so the hose would fit.

Come do mine next Great job
Sure, you're not that far away.
looks great. how long it took you?
all together it took couple of weeks, but if I was doing it again, I'd say 2 coats of paint and 2 or 3 coats of clear shouldn't take more then few days.

I want mine to look like that... (I'd like LT5 while we're at it)
haha, mine looks like that, but I still would like the LT5.
