Curious to see if anyone has recently installed a HUD into their C4. Saw some pretty old forum posts about using a Defi HUD, came across a few of the VSD models for sale; has anyone here had any success with installing those?
Most aftermarket HUDs use OBD2 for their info. Only the 96 has that in a C4. I'm sure some companies make a HUD that has a built in GPS for speed, but then you've got a very limited use case for it.
Being able to have oil temps, tech, and speed on the HUD would be pretty cool like in my C6 or X5, but to be honest, even those are hardly useful, because they don't work with polarized sunglasses, which is basically ALL sunglasses. You actually have to go out of your way to find non polarized sunglasses.

Even though the 96 has an OBD2 port, do you know if its compatible with these OBD based HUDs? I've read through some of the forum posts saying that you technically dont get full OBD2 functionality on these, but have no clue if its true.
