Mine does not snap back from the top of the clips but rather slides under the clips and slowly creeps back.
PS I always keep my shade closed(Opened)....You can not see inside the trunk area.

This won't happen with the better design clips we've mentioned. They have a little "hook" that the apron posts fit into, the posts won't slip out of them. Order some, they're well worth it.

Mine does the same. I'm going to try and glue an extension on the bottom portion of the clip. It unscrews so it should be easy to do.
Or maybe we need a group purchase for all canadians to keep the cost below 50 dollars !! :D
I put in the after market clips and they are MUCH better!! I close (open) mine when hot and parked (with vent open) to keep the heat down and the carpet from fading. I think it may be too late for the carpet though!!! :cry
I fixed my problem with a black paint stir stick from Walmart paint shop (Free/ with the purchase of a gallon of paint)
I predrilled the track, cut the shade in two parts, placed 1 of the 2 parts under the track near the hook area and screwed the stir stick in from the top. I used the other half of the stick on the other side.
Works great I will try to get a pic of that.
PS I used black srews.
Try it let me know if it works. This will only work for people whose shade slides in underneath.
Good luck
Made mods to clips a few days ago. Works great,no more wrinkled up shade!!
I cut a couple of strips of aluminum, bent them and epoxyed them to the under side. Here is a couple of pics
The clips have a bigger lips on them, are cheap and will prevent the shade from rolling back -- if it rolls back alot it can get messed up.
:iagree:
These are a much better design, no more problems with it rolling back!

Nice Job
I guess us Canadians are better with our hands or is it the shipping cost that scare us from buying stuff.
