Default Appreciation!!

I hadn't driven my car for a little over a week. I bought a beater to use on rainy/snowy days as the crap weather season is fast approaching.

Well... I took the vette out today for a quick spin and all I can say is after driving a 100 hp integra for a week....climbing in to the vette and feeling that rumble is priceless! Easing in to the gas, I get to near triple digits!

If you have a hard time with your car, or just want to appreciate it more. Let it sit a little while, drive something TOTALLY not sporty, then hop back in the vette and it'll be like you first bought it all over again! It was for me today :yesnod:  :steering:

Isn't it fun, driving the vette. So very wonderful. What a high.
Can't explain it.

:D You should post this on an Integra forum!

In my lifetime (6 yrs driving), I've only driven about 300 miles with anything less than a V8.

Tim, enjoy that new/old feeling when you do get it back. Man, I forgot how easily this thing gets to 6000 rpm hehe. Not that I'd push it that hard  :jester

With winter coming, I know what you mean :yesnod: You really appreciate what you have when it's gone (or in my case, under a car cover ;) )

Jay - this is a totally true point. I usually only drive the Vette 1-2 days a week. Every once in a while I get on a "sell the vette + the daily driver and buy a jeep" kick.

Then I drive the vette - and I remember why I have it. Absolutely true point. Nothing makes you appreciate the vette other than not driving it for a while and limiting yourself to a 4 cyl.

I've been driving 2.0 4cyl's (BMW's & Saab's) for the past 6 years. In the next 7-10 days I'm about to buy my first Vette, should be an intersting experience

All I've got to decide now is if to get a 1990 White RHD one for £8000 or a 1986 Red LHD for £6000

Too true...our other vehicle is a van. HUGE difference to go from sitting on the ground in the Vette to towering over traffic in the van. Really makes you appreciate the Vette :D
