Congrats  Hopefully I'm next.
Oh, and don't worry about OldAce, he's the forum's official "Senile Skipper"
Do you plan on racing it ever? If not, get some cheap soft tires, like Kumho or Pirelli. How about 275s all around?
I think all tires get hard after 5 years, so drive hard! :steering:

Re: Employed!!! (1990CORVETTE)
How are they in the rain? The fisks I have on there now are hard(even when new) and are like driving on ice in the rain. Scary
Hows Sunday at Hills and Dales for a brew?

Nice looking wheels
Not sure which tires would work best on wet roads. Performance seems to get more attention than wet road handling when designing these tire sizes.

Re: Employed!!! (Topless87)
I would do the 285s out back for sure! ... As far as brand/type? ... The Mich. Pilot sports if they are available in 285 ... if not just put the eagle back on it!
The lowest price tire will likely be a Sumitomo HTRZ ... but they are soft!
Please post some picks when installed!

 Although I don't know why you're celebrating  Hopefully it's something fun like retirement.
Anywhoo, for tires, I got Khumos for my 85 and BFGs for my Ruby. The Khumos are definatly the best bang for your buck and a decent tire all the way round. My 85 is a monster with torque and those tires hold pretty well. Much better than the BFG Comp TAs that I had before did.
