Default Blinkers

Hello everyone, I'm writing in after a long time.
I want to hear your opinion about my plan about my vette's blinkers.
Some of you may know that blinkers have to be yellow in Japan.
But some of Japanese corvette owners change their rear blinkers to all red.
My vette has red blinkers too.
But I know that I should change it to yellow form safety point of view.
Because almost 100% cars have yellow blinkers in Japan and some of them does not noticed my blinkers.
I know there is an European teillamp kit.
But I don't like it.
Then, I'm planning to modify my rear blinkers like below using with yellow LED.

How do you think about this plan ?

If there is someone who applied another solution on your corvette, please post your taillamp pics for me ?

I kinda like it but then again I'm fond of the original corvette blinkers. Its good to be different though just as long as one doesn't go too far

Thank you.
Yes, I think so. I like original corvette blinkers.
I think 4 red tail lamps are original. Is that correct ?
Is it depend on regulations of each state in US?

That rear bumper is quite different from the US version.

1. It looks like the reverse lights are mounted in the lower part of the inner brake lights instead of on both sides of the license plate.
2. The reflectors located under the brake lights are added.
3. The 3rd brake light has a "rim" around it where the US version has no rim and is flush.

It's interesting to see how GM makes changes for different regions.

If you have to go w/the yellow blinkers, I like this much better.

Konnichiwa!

I just came back from Japan last May. I lived there for about 4 and a half years while stationed at Yokota AB.

I brough my 87 with me and had to convert the tail lights as well. Here is a pic of the hack job.....

Hehe, now that I am living in the states again, I gotta find original lenses!

Why do you call it a hack job? From the pics, it looks pretty good.

There is a place here in the states that sells a complete LED tail light setup for the C4. Order that and then replace some of the red for yellow and you are set. Bright little guys too.....

It looks like the backup lamps were moved to accomodate the size of the rear license plate. The lens design look similar to the European units except the turn signal in the outboard lens looks a little more red in the pic instead of yellow and the backup light is the lower part of the inboard lens.

Is that a reflector below the lenses or a warning lamp for fog??
