I had my Vette out for the first time at night and when I went to put on my headlights; the interior dash lights all shut off. I mean every interior bulb shut down. Never experienced anything like this before. Any ideas as to what it is and how to repair it. Thankyou in advance.
Sounds like a issue i had earlier this year ,It was a fuse cant rember witch one but it was odd value. Like 1.5a or something strange for fuse area. Check the fuse box start pulling them. During day can you see dash values I could and it was a fuse.I would seriously look at fuse area.
Everything elese worked accept dash lights.was on road trip and i was pissed took me about a hour got a beer calmed down and decided to look at fuses. and i found the blown one.

Re: Lighting Problems---Can You Help? (Yellow Fever)
Yellow Fever.........you might have a short in one of your fuse boxes........I would just replace any and/or all the fuses in the box or just replace the old ones first and have them check your alternator at a parts shop. Checkers or Kragen does it for free. Also have them check the juice in your battery if all else is fine. It's probably somewhere in there where your problem lies. If all else fails, open up your headlights and make sure the coils are free from any serious melting at the bulbs cuz it might be causing an energy flux and juicing more power than it needs. (Just a thought , but I doubt that's the prob). I don't know where your dash light connection would be, but once you find it, check it for the same thing. It's most likely gonna be something with the batt/alternator though if it isn't a fuse short. GL. :seeya
