Nah; It's not worth the hastle down the road. I just tell her and off to the garage. Besides for what I spend on the car vs what she spends on girly crap......the parts ain't worth nuthin.
I am actually the one that orders parts. John called Jeg's once and they asked who he was! Too funny. Most of the dealers (ecklers, jegs, summit, etc) know me but not John.
It's a little shell shock to see some of the prices, but you get what you pay for. As for girlie stuff, mine is car parts! I don't do the froo froo thing. I prefer to buy performance parts etc. :)
:D :D
I remember one Christmas, I bought John his fire suit, helmet (and got it painted to match the car), Eagle Rods, and a Bowtie Block. Now THAT was fun!
Well, where the wife's concerned, what she doesn't know won't hurt her.. It's not like I'm out smoking crack, or blowing the mortgage payment at the dog track.. I don't ,and won't offer the costs of any upgrades.. Cause then she'll be all over my case do work on her Mustang, and that's just not gonna happen
I don't tell the whole truth. I think she's on to me... :D
I hear ya.. I always try to start my conversations with her (about my car) like "Now keep in mind, the parts I SOLD almost paid for the new parts"
She's onto me too!!! I need a new line, it's getting older then 69mako's "my wife left me" jokes
I don't need to. We have a joint account that we both pay into for mortgage, utilities, insurance, groceries, etc but other than that, what she makes and what she spends it on is her business and what I make and what I spend it on is my business...

That's a good way to be!! Under "normal" circumstances, that's how we are - but, the Vette crosses the normal barrier. :steering:
