I just use the standard AC Delco.
I change it about every 5K miles.
At $14, Its good low cost protection for the injectors
& you never know if you get a bads tank of gas..
I use the AC Delco too......it can be a pain in the *** to remove the filter if you havent done it before. WHen I did mine, I released the pressure but the fuel still flowed when trying to remove the filter.....I ended up running the tank almost empty to get it to stop.
I'll be changing mine tomorow, I ordered it from GM.. not sure who makes them for GM.
I'm not certain how to proceed with the fuel filter change, I'm guessing theres just a suporting braket to unbolt and then just unbolt both ends of the fuel filter and put the new one on.
I will remove the gas tank cap, but my tank is almost full..... hmmm what would be the best way to make certain I don't lose all my gas on the garage floor?

While some will release pressure, I say put a drip tray (pie tin) under it and open it up - you will not have that much gas come out - or let it sit for a couple hours once up on ramps.
Gas from the tank would need the fuel pump on to flow out like you are thinking

Thats what I originaly though, but after Bruthish post I though that somehow gas would keep leaking out.
Changed the fuel filter this Saturday, It was way easier then expected.
It did leak a bit, but I was still able to change the filter wile the gas was leaking, I got my hands full of gas but that honestly doesn't bother me.... who else here likes the smell of gas?
Since I have a convertible, the only hard part of the job was removing one of the X fame beams to access the fuel filter.
