dude, that's an expensive paperclip.

This is a more expensive paperclip, but I would rather get this:

first item. The manual is great reading...

Though you don't need it to pull codes it should do the job if it comes with a cable or plugs in.

To clear codes just open the connector in the Orn wire near the battery for a minute or two.

Thanks-But what is an 'Orn Wire'? What does it look like?

Don't pick on Frank, he's been through a lot trying to resolve this SRC problem.

I'm guessing you didn't have a chance yet to run those diagnostics. I don't think even taking it to chevy to let them run the clear code program with the Tech 1 is going to do anything different. I believe you have a problem somewhere in that system and its throwing that time out code. Frank you don't need to spend a lot of money when your vette has the abilities to do just that. I think if you isolate the problem, resolve it, you'll be able to clear your codes.

Heck you should be getting to be an expert at it by now.

Hey, no problem-I have thick skin. It is all in good fun. I am just a newbie trying to learn.
yeah, I havent had a chance to diagnose it yet-most likely over the weekend. I have a feeling it is the pass side actuator-so i need to check it out. Hopefully, that will be the end of it!!

Well I'm going to be swapping out my heater core this weekend so we'll both be arm deep in Corvettes.

Some how I think yours will be less of a PITA then mine. Not looking forward to this repair.

PurpleC4 did a write up on heater core repair/cleaning... it isn't that bad.
