I've been doing mine, as well as a complete color change, for the past couple of weekends.. I'm taking my time, making sure everything is done perfectly, and the same for the installation... If you haven't found one yet, look up Willcox for your carpet - nice kits 
This is my first time taking my interior completely apart, and I have to say, it's been fun - Just the fact that I now know my interior inside and out is cool.

I followed these directions for my '89 coupe. They worked great. the only difference was the detail regarding the parking break cover. I did use the sound deadening panels and it seems to have quieted the car.
