You really need the correct puller. I have not been able to figure out a way to do it otherwise. The puller threads into the center bolt. 2 1/2 circles slip around the center hub. A sleeve then slips over the circle. There is also a bearing that gets slipped inbetween to minimise friction. I bought a cheapy puller at carlisle for about 15 bucks. Works well.
I looked and the threads are recessed pretty deep. The puller I have also is an installer. It installs like a harmonic balancer installer. I ruined 2 pumps in the past and can say that the puller is worth buying or renting.
It’s a little bit of a PITA but it works. Pretty much they have two halves that go around the lip on the pulley and a ring to retain them. Then they have a center piece that goes in the middle of the two halves. A long bolt threads in the middle and pushes against the bottom of the power steering pump hole. To install the pulley, they have a bolt that threads onto the hole and a piece that pushed the pulley on by unscrewing that piece. Its hard to describe, if you have any questions please ask. Once you get the tool it is pretty self-explanatory.
whoever worked on my PS pump before I purchased car ('95 , 66K miles)put the pully on and it has a slight wobble when running. This can't be good for the serpentine belt or the pully bearings. Do I need to remove and re-install my PS pully to fix this wobble??

How much is that PS pully kit at autozone?
Thanks in advance
Mike, had a similar problem on a buick. Every 6 months or so the belt would squeel a bit. Turns out the pulley was slightly bent. The shaft on the pump was tight and so was the interference fit of the pulley. Check this possibility. I would bet the pulley is bent or out of round.
