OK, as far as Louisville is concerned we have no testing at all. It went away about 2 years ago. As far as what people put on there cars they are the one's responsible for doing the proper research. I have seen plenty of bad advice on this forum as well as good advice. I have seen plenty of fact as well as totally wrong advice. What it boils down to is that you need to completly understand what you want to do and what you have to have to pass any potential inspection that you may have to take. The original thread was meant to get a general idea of what some of our 96 members were using in the form of headers.

I have the EM longtube headers, Random Tech cats, and a Corsa catback. Here's a pic of my setup:

The Corsa starts at the dual-chambered center resonator section. Everything from there forward is EM.

Quite new to Corvette tuning myself, but who is "EM"?

Very nice setup.

Perfusion, what does that system run? From the Corsa to the heads? What's the cost for the pipes from the cats to the Corsa? I could only find the headers (425) and the cats (180 each), so does $785 include the other pipes? Just want to get an estimate, and again thanks for posting the pic, I really wanted to know what it would look like when we were done.

I've got my invoice from Exotic Muscle in front of me:

Coated longtube headers: $741

Corsa head pipes w/ Cats: $549.95 (these are basically everything you see in the pic between the headers at the Corsa resonator - 4 pieces total [2 cats welded in pipes, and 2 "extensions" to the Corsa])

Stage 8 bolts: $49.95

Fel Pro 1406 Gaskets: $29.95

Total (with shipping): 1432.85

I'm assuming that they are the stainless 1 3/4" headers they have listed for $850 and not the ones listed for $426 which I would assume are not coated and made out of something like aluminzed exhaust pipe. Sounds good I'll just wait for my tax return and go to it.

I called EM yesterday and the website is not accurate. First of all you can't get the uncoated 1 3/4 anymore for a 94-96, they only make them coated which they want $740 for. If you add the coating to the uncoated pipes through their website it comes out to $642 so I don't know where the extra $100 they want for those headers is coming from. I decided to get a kwiklift instead and wait on the headers.

I was planning on it but after they add the bolts you need, gaskets, and an O2 sim, and shipping, it ended up costing almost as much as a kwiklift so I ordered one of those instead. I'll wait until I find a better deal on headers. None look as good as EM though so I may still go back to them.

Basically, they don't have uncoated ones lying around. They put in an order to their manufacturer for "X" number of units to be made. Those then go to get coated, and then EM holds them in inventory until all are sold. I purchased the last set they had in stock prior to the most recent GP. It was a couple months in between when I ordered mine and the GP was started, so you can tell how long the process takes...
