also call and talk to em and say hey i wanna buy this but I need a better deal if I am going to buy.
trust me they can drop about $100 with out flinching.

Now see...that's exactly what I'm talking about. You don't work for EM, you're not a representative of their company. Where in the hell do you get off telling somebody to call them and haggle prices, saying that you know "they can drop $100 with out flinching," ?!?!? My God...
for instance....
I have called EM before reguarding a dana 44 pumpkin
And told them hey I think your price is too much blah blah blah and with a little going around they dropped the price $150 I said Id get back to them and then looked else where.
so yes they can...they would not like to advertise this...
mention you are a corvette forum member and were recommended by a fellow member and would like to refer them to someone else if they do right by you.
you are right I dont work for them But i dont know how to haggle!
all in all they would rather work with you than not have your buisness at all.

OK, we'll give you a "club price for everything, take off 10% on everything and not charge shipping---does that bring it down enough?" Are you kidding--I did it in a heartbeat. Plus, I had a good feeling about it, and them. You just gotta ask, sometimes. Or tell 'em you're gonna wait.
In hotel-speak it's cold a "room night". Once that room doesn't get leased on one night, that is lost revenue---you can never make it up. When someone calls or writes, once they log off or end the call, the sale is almost always gone. There are hundreds of sales courses that teach that fact of selling life. It's up to us to know it and ask for the price.
I've walked out of major department stores with refirgerators for discounted prices below anything listed or contemplated by the sales staff.
