doing 160 in 6th gear with a 4.09 rear, i was'nt paying attention to the tack as i was coming to a 135 deg turn that i had to jump on the binders and down shift in a matter of seconds to make it.
I've only hit 150 but that was with a blown head gasket so we'll have to see what she'll do with the new 355 after it's broken in this time I'm hoping for 180 but I know I won't see it.
I was doing 175 in the rain on my motorcycle last summer but 10 mph might have been the tire spinning because of it being wet
oh and this was at the track never ever drive like this unless you're at the track
hate to say it, but was driing a buddy's (.....porsche?.....), he lives in celle, about 50 kliks south of hamburg. when he comes to the states, he drives my vette.
hey, they do that around here everyday. called rush hour, but the idiots here, when traffic starts backing up, they just drive off the shoulder and onto the feeder road. makes for some interesting occurances/encounters there, if ya' know what i mean. there are always high speed chases up and down i-45 around houston with up to a dozen cop cars involved. place is nuts
I've done 190mph, we were doing a run for a magazine, and they wanted some fast cars so they could see what top ends we could reach. What i found impressive was the speed was recorded by GPS, and when i got back they asked me what speed i saw on the speedo, i told them 304kmh and the guys sorta looked at me funny, so i thought i was way off. I asked him what the gps had recorded and he said 304kmh LOL.
Oh btw, this was only done over a distance of about 2km, although we had about a 4km stretch
My 1992 and I went to 170 once. I have it on video, I'll see if I can find it. I might of been able to hit 175 or so, but it was dark and I ended up wussin' out.

Wussing out is stopping at 90 mph, stopping at 170 is called valid descretion.
