Rollbar strength
For those of you who have been considering a rollbar from DRM, EM or RD, this is to show you how much more rigid everything is.
Normally when you jack from the rear, the front tire of the same side is the one lifted off of the ground. At this height, the front tire is still on the ground.

People worry about the weight, but they don't realize how much stronger the car is when it's done.
BTW from the looks of it you can do what another forum member did, store the top by putting it in on top of the downtubes. Just leave it facing 'forward'

Dave Cooper at R-DRacing has some simple screw on brakets that go on the rear down tubes to secure the targa top when you let the sunshine in. I have them on my S/T Frame. Works great. Ditto all the other remarks about stiffening the chassis.

If this is true, then the picture means you have somehow changed the weight distribution of the car.
Increasing torsional stiffness doesn't affect weight distribution...are you sure you are using the same jacking point?

It looks like the jack is closer to the centerline of the car than the normal jacking point. Almost like it's being lifted from the rear diff ,this is what you would expect to happen.
That said, with my roll bar installed and jacking from the rear jack point, the front tire comes up VERY quickly and there is no creaking and crackling.
