Okay, I have an antenna that works perfectly but at the end of each of it cycles it makes a very loud grinding noise. It only does it once it completes a full cycle.
Basically if I turn the radio on and the antenna begins to extend and gets fully extended...loud grinding gear sound. But if I turn the radio off and the antenna begins to retract, but I turn the radio back on before it goes all the way down, once it is fully extended, no problem.
Something out of adjustment? Or is the antenna motor going bad?
I think thats the noise my 92 made right before the ant mast cable broke .The good news is Ecklers has the mast for 29.00 and it was not to hard to replace
I just ordered one for my '94 off E-Bay for $15 shipped. Haven't got it yet so i don't know how good it is. There was another thread on this subject the other day and some forum members that got em off e-bay said they were allright and easy to install.
