It did make a small difference on my 90 here in AZ as far as HOT weather driving. It seemed it didn't lose as much power when it was over 110. I don't have any real data to back it up. I didn't notice a difference in the cold though. I didn't see any performance difference either. It did clean up the look of the engine compartment a slight bit.
I don't recall the exact temp #s but it's something like outside temps in the mid 30s or so and high humiditiy.
Well that's a little warmer than I thought you were talking about. I have had the vette out in those temps. I didn't like it, since my heater temp selector is stuck to the cold side!
By-passing it does not set a code; there's no code for that in the ECM. The system will never even know you did it.

I was mainly concerned with it affecting the IAC. Causing it to set a code.
Waste of time unless you remove your throttle body alot.
All I noticed is it got my opti wet and caused more problems than it was worth.
Now I juice it so it made it easier to set up the nitrous plate.
I think the mod rates up their with the air foil,!/2 inch spacer for the throttle body, adjustable fuel regulator, and mass air flow housing.
If you live is South Florida, Az. or Cal. It is for reducing heat in the T/B. In most states, reducing the temp. in the T/B is not necessary. In South Florida reducing the temp. in the T/B, during the summer, is necessary.
