Auto Trans problems..help
Took my 88 TPI auto out for a in town drive after a long winters sleep. after she got hot 200 in stop and go traffic I started feeling a shutter from 1st to 2nd.manual shift, no problem, in D it shutters.
anyody have this problem?
It's a given I'll pull the pan and change the fluid and filter but the fluid is full and no sign of being burnt.64k on the car unknown on the fluid.
can I add an additive that will help out?

Avoid additives. These are cheap Fixes that usually cause other problems. Most of them end up getting investigated by the Federal Trade Commission.
Get a good transmission mechanic to advise you based on the information that you can provide.

After reading what happened to BMF42 and all the good times I've had over the years with tranny shops I trust them about as much as crack heads and tweekers.
