Default Help!! Brakes

Help I am frustrated to the point of.............................

Ok bleed 3 of the brakes just fine.

On the right front wheel We had the caliper off and was bleeding it when one of the pistons exploded out of the hole.
Is there any way to reinstall this to where it will not leak or is this new caliper junk?

is it a NEW caliper? if so, it should just push back in. You might need a c-clamp or channel locks to do it.

Default Caliper

It is a brand new C5 caliper.
We tried pushing it back in but the rubber lip and the piston do not seem to want to go in---------
Suggestions?

You should bleed, with the calipers on the rotors. I hope your not gonna be lookin' for a new caliper.

Before you try putting the piston back in, loosen the bleeder screw (or remove it to be safe). Otherwise, pressure in the caliper will keep the piston from going in. you can lubricate the o-ring and caliper bore with brake fluid to help it slide in. As long as the o-ring and dust seal didn't tear or get damaged in any other way, it will be fine.

since you've got to remove the pistons to rebuild/hone the caliper, you should definitely not have to buy a caliper over this
