My new project is going to make quite a bit more power. Energy suspension don't seem to list motor mounts for the C4, what are the options? I don't care to run a solid mount, are there any other vendors that supply a good mount or is the stock mount the only thing out there?
the silicone Lt1 mounts ought to be better than the older L98 rubber ones. Other than that it's custom work. Breakin motor mounts are you? Build a torque limiter out of a energy suspension sway bar end link.
The LT1 mount will not fit and they cost a fortune and they don't hold over 400 HP .
The standard motor mount from Jeg's will work I use them on my 86.
I made some motor mounts tonight. Im just going to use a solid mount in the car, just affraid a polly mount might come apart on me. Also going to be really close to the hood with the throttle body elbo. I have never run a solid mount but have friends with Buicks who have to tie theirs down to the frame. Guess I will see if I like them or not.
Jeg's has the polly mount ,I bought the chrome.
Standard L989 350 engine mount. But I did chain the motor on the drivers side just incase.
I did pull the wheels when I launched,I did not feel it but the guys were watching.
The chain helped alot but I tweaked the front left upper control arm it was chained to, so I have to change it to the frame under the break master cylander.
