Just got the car up on the kwilift and am about to start removing the exhaust and putting on some EM LT headers. Any tips for the install to go smoothly? What should I move out of the way to get to the manifold bolts... Im having trouble getting them out they dont want to budge
Im taking pics along the way, hopefully I'll be able to post them in a few days.
My install should be starting in the next week or two. Did you get your LT's on the GP that's running now? If so, it means I should be getting mine too!!!
I let some PB Blaster work on the manifold bolts and made them a piece of cake to take out.. only problem is I dont see how to get to the back two bolts on the passenger side, any suggestions?

I bought these a few weeks before the GP started... they did ship them out fast after I ordered.
The passenger sides can be done from below. But they should be fairly easy with a short socket and a swivel.
I'll give the swivel a try... it looks like theres only about 3/4 of an inch between the bolt closest to the windshield on the passenger side and the panel next to it. I haven't started on the drivers side yet, did you have to remove the starter?
By the way I got to try out my new IR Thundergun, omg that thing is awesome... I was afraid I didnt have enough air with the 1.8 hp 28 gallon cambell hausfield but its working pretty good

When I recently helped a friend install his TPiS LT Headers, we found that using a 1/4" drive ratchet for the back 2 passenger side bolts let us get them tight. To get them started I used a box end wrench 1 size up from the bolt size. My box end wrenchs have the flares that prevent rounding off the bolt head, and using 1 size up let me easily "grab" the bolt to get it started (no room for fingers in there). Once it was started the 1/4" ratchet was small enough to finish the job.
Here is another tip for installing the EM headers. Use a set of ARP header bolts that has a 3/8" head on them. This will make it easier to use a socket on most of the bolts and where its tight and you have to use a open end wrench its also going to give you more clearance.
Also on the number 8 tube you will have to grind the flange of the bolt down to reduce the OD of the flange to clear the tube. Use square wire lock washers on all the bolts as well. This will keep them from coming loose.
