Default BG 44K Fuel Additive

I've heard great things about it, and since I use a fuel additive every couple years I thought I'd try it this time around (instead of the usual Techron).

Has anyone used this product before? If not, have you heard anything about it (good or bad)?

It's the only additive I will use. It's very a good product.

Several years ago, when I worked as a wrench at a small Nissan shop, a customer had bought a 1978 280Z. It was in fair condition, he got a steel on the price, but it ran like crap.

The dealership told him they felt it needed new injectors, among other things.

My boss and I were chatting about it, and the BG guy had just left, so we agreed, lets try a can of 44K in it. I added it to about 1/2 a tank of gas and let it run.

When it started, it was bucking, spitting and blowing black out the tailpipe. Within 30 minutes, it was running like new. Changed the plugs/cap/rotor and we were done. What could have been nearly $1000.00 worth of work became about $100.00 worth.

That's why I only use 44K. GREAT STUFF.

OK,
So where do I find it?
I have never noticed it on the shelf at autoparts stores... but then again I have not been looking...

Yes, but is it safe for the LT1 injectors and also for the O2's and cats?

No problems here.

As for getting it, you have to find it at either a garage, or, track down the local BG guy.

I hear the same thing - either a local garage or the internet. Funny how a product with such high praise is so hard to find

Go to their website:

http://www.bgprod.com/bgdistloc/distloc.php

Find their local dealer in your area then find out where he sells to. Then you can go to a local shop. Most of their producst are sold by repair shops and occasional independant parts stores. I have never seen it in NAPA, AutoZones or Checkers parts stores around here. If you can't find it, I have it here.
