I was searching the archives for what fluid to use for my ZF clutch and I'm a little confused.
I know you CANNOT mix silicone (Dot5?) with Dot3 in your brake system, but I hear people going with Valvoline Synpower Dot4 instead of the Dot 3 it says on our clutch master cylinder covers.
The Dot4 stuff is synthetic, but it isn't silicone is it?
Valvoline synpower is not silicone and it is both DOT 3 AND DOT4.
You can mix it with DOT 3 if that is what is in your system. But if what is in your system is old and dirty you should replace it.
