Auto Tranny quest?
My 91 vette has never really had any tranny issues until now. At WOT the tranny used to shift at around 5700 rpm, now all of a sudden it is shifting at over 6000 rpm. During normal driving, the tranny shifts fine...no slipping or shift lag. I tried adjusting the TV cable, this didn't help at all. Not ready to go tranny shop wihout more info!! Thanks

The TV cable is NOT for tailoring transmission performance for your preference. If it isn't properly adjusted, or VERY close, you WILL be making a trip to the trans shop... Probably on the hook. The fact that you've noticed a change in the performance, doesn't bode well.

Dude , I just had exact problem as your having . Let a tranny specialist have it for a couple days. Its has to do with pressure being applied inside the valve body. Cost me around 500 but he installed a new transgo shift kit and now Im happy as pie.
