Hit from behind

I have an -88 Convertible. Last summer I was hit from the behind at a trafficlight. The car is now being repaired, a new rear cover (bumper) paintjob done and reassembled... but: The rear right side is misaligned (impact point). I suppose that the impact bar has been bent... impact speed was around 10 mph, I guess.I have searched for more info on this, I found quite an extensive description how to repair, or replace the impact bar on a C5 (GM Goodwrench).
Any info or advice in this matter would be greatly appriciated.

A Helm's manual will tell you how to R&R the impact bar. My manual gets pretty discriptive on my '91. They're a good investment. You can find them on e-bay or on their website.

If "The rear right side is misaligned " then was it really fixed? Take it back to the body shop and have them fix it right. The other guy's insurance company should not give you any problems, but if they do, get your insurance company involved. Do not settle for anything less than having your Vette look and operate as it did BEFORE you got hit.
