auto/std cruise control?

Is there a difference in the cruise control module that goes over the battery from an automatic and a standard? I need one for a 1990 auto and there is a man willing to sell me one from a 6- speed. Will this work for me?

The cruise control is all about throttle, not transmission, so it should work in your car. Make sure all your vacuum hoses to the unit are good.
