Default Delteq

O.K.
I have searched the forum and only found a few posts on the Delteq ignition setup. Not very much info...
I am hoping I can get some input from some of you folks that have it and what your opinion is.
I want to put it on my 94 LT1, but I have read some info on the internet from some folks that went through a lot of trouble and money and never got it to work correctly.
I am rebuilding a used 94 LT1, to go in my 94 vette when the current engine gives me reason to change it. I'm over 160K miles and it is still running good.

Thanks in advance.

Default Delteq

Just finished installing the Delteq in my 94 yesterday.
The kit comes with everything you need, including a new set
of plug wires. The install went without a hitch and took
about 2 1/2 hours or so. Engine fired right up and ran well, no
misses or other problems so far.

Just remember, the Delteq system depends on the opti for spark
timing..if the opti is not working correctly, then the Delteq won't
either, so make sure the opti is in good working order before installing
the Delteq.

I installed the Delteq system on my 1993 LT-1 last fall before I put the car up for the winter. It is a quality system and, so far, the car runs at least as well, if not better, than new (I ordered the car from the factory). The biggest pain in the butt is running the spark plug wires. You can curse the General for that.

Installed Delteq in less then a hour and it worked great once I by-passed thech Filter (Probably ithe instructions by now). Worked great for year then when I droped in my 383 I got two bad Opti's out of the box but all is well now and the Delteq has never gave me a bit of trouble. I still believe that most Opti failures are due to bad Cap/Rotor but I had some of the worst luck with the Opti's I bought after my rebuild.
