So, when are you taking it to the track???? I'd love to see the timeslips for that car.

I have friends that are corvette entusiaists. They are going to the track this weekend, but my kids are keeping me busy with teeball, soccer, softball, etc. I probably won't be able to go. I will do it sometime this summer. In the past I have run the 1/2 mile shootout at the Great Sandhills Race (similar to SilverStates). I would like to do that this summer, but I will have to rely on someone else dropping out because it is full. When I get some numbers on the track or the shootout I will post them. HP said they would start marketing the kit in a couple of months.

Sounds great, have you posted any pictures or videos yet?

I guess I am not able to do attachments. Do you need to become a supporting member to do that? I am willing to but just have not had the need to attachment photos or video in the past.

evltwin,

You don't have to be a supporting member, but I do believe you have to have a web page to link your pictures/videos for it to work. I believe their is a forum to assist you on this or I am sure one of the gurus will help you out here shortly.

BTW...did you lose any of your accessories installing the Turbo?

Thanks in advance,

Glenn

I have looked at the part on how to submit pictures and will try to get it done. Right now the car is at my local mechanic getting the once over. I am simply having him check for any problems so I can deal with HP if necessary. So far, so good, though. To answer your question, all the accessories are intact and functioning, i.e., cruise, air etc. The cruise was relocated and the battery was moved to the back underneath one of the cubby holes in back. Obviously the stock intake was removed. It required upgraded MSD ignition and wires, new computer and program, upgraded injectors and custom exhaust to the cats. Other than that the car remains the same.

Well, I'm on my 3rd or 4th week of "It'll be done by Friday". Waiting for my mechanic to get my engine back in one piece. It's not all his fault. He had the bottom end together and then he noticed a big gouge in the deck surface so he had to take it all apart and surface it and put it back together. Now he's worried about my hub slipping and making the timing stuff come off since I'm using a rear mount distributor, so he's machining my hub to put a keyway in it. Then he was missing parts, my fault, I forgot to bring the nuts to the head studs out to him. So now the bottom end is back together, the hub should be machined and we should be on schedule to have it finished by this friday.

I really hope we can get in on the dyno this weekend. That would make me really happy. I'm just getting frustrated. Ok, I'm done venting now.

I know how you feel. Try waiting a year and a half! I hope you don't have to go through that.

It was. I am really glad to have it back. I have not driven it much, maybe 50 miles. I wanted somthing with z06 power that will suprise some people. I think it will. It is still with my local mechanic. He has experince in these matters. He says the kit and it construction are great. There were some issues with installation. Nothing big. Just some short cuts that resulted in an exhaust leak or two and some loose parts. My security system was fried and is being replaced. HP is going to take care of that. I am also having him change all the fluids since it sat so long. Today or tomorrow it will be in my hands for good.

If you were asking me the answer is no. I will be happy to e-mail them to you tonight if you want. I tried to figure out the picture thing and apparently was too stupid to do so. But since I know how to use e-mail I will be happy to send them to you. Post or PM your e-mail address.

That would be great, please email them to:

glennmatthew@earthlink.net

I am getting impatient with my own project. I have a new 383 (built by TJ) w/ a t-trim & greg's water/alky injection kit to be installed but my shop is just too busy at the present moment.

I can at least live through the rest of you guys.

Thanks again,

Glenn

I got the pics, but I had a 'little issue' and couldn't post them last night. I'll have them up and posted here right after I get home from work tonight about 5:00pm EDT

I didn't know what kind of bandwidth this would need, so just to be safe, I resized them to be a managable size. The originals were much larger.

Here they are though. I can't remember seeing a job that looked this good. WOW.

Thanks for putting those up. Out of curiousity how do you resize the pictures? I knew they were too big but my lack of skills prevented me from doing anything about it.

I bought an aftermarket picture viewer. I paid for a shareware GIF viewer back before Windows had one included (around 1992 it was called, originally enough, WinGif) and about 3 years ago paid to upgrade it to the latest (at the time) version.

http://www.pixvision.com/

It has an edit tab with a resize button.
