Is anyone running these? Will a SuperRam base bolt up to them, or do you need a special intake due to the raised intake ports? Thanks
I beleive that the new Fast Burn heads are drilled and tapped with both the Vortec bolt pattern and the normal SBC patterns. If this is true then you can use a standard TPI base. The only concern is that the Fast Burn heads has a raised runner, and it may require that the stock TPI base be welded up and port matched. I know this is true for the earlier versions as I tuned a old Jag with a TPI engine equipped with a set of these heads, there was extensive welding on the stock base manifold.

Well, so much for the FastBurns then. I don't really feel like modifying my Accel intake, or using an SDPC manifold. The quest for the perfect head for my application continues....
they look like really good heads and im pretty sure that they will fit both vortec type and standard intake manifolds, thats what i read. they might be my next head of choice.

Thanks guys
If its any consolation, The SDPC vortec manifold is supposed to be a very nice piece and has plenty of "meat" for porting.
Here you go, right from Sallee Chevrolet:
The Fast Burn head accepts both center bolt and early style four bolt flange mount valve covers.
Signature etched with GM Performance Parts logo.
Intake manifold mating surfaces are drilled and tapped for both Vortec and conventional raised port style manifolds. Vortec style manifolds are recommended.
