Default The engine is in (pics)

Tomorrow the bellhousing and both trannys go in along with the C beam to finish the drivetrain mechanicals. Then the easy stuff like waterpump, starter, alt, hoses, cooler lines etc get connected.

After that the hard part is running the fuel lines and fabricating the plenum and throttlebody.
.
Here is the fuel system I bought, minus the 255lph pump and 48lb injectors. The fuel system is enough to support 650hp.

Pretty!

What do you mean *both* trannys?

I've never changed an engine in a C4 before. Can you not bolt the clutch assembly and bell housing to the engine before installation?

Yeah, megasquirt and wideband O2. Once the fuel system comes in it should only be a week or so until it is finished.

In terms of clearance? I have a milled down TPI throttle body that I am making an adapter plate for. It just squeezes in.

First, It's all looking very good. Can you tell me more about the dual-plane intake...I'm very interested in this; It's new to me. I understand you're not going to use it...whyzat?

The intake is kind of special,It is a port injection design that works with the fastburn heads. I searched and finally found it on ebay. For the next motor I don't knowif it will be enough to support the airflow needed, But I may be wrong.

I am a little confused, Are you using a TBI with an air cleaner or a plenum with a TPI TB? A pic would be great.

The intake has injector bosses, I made up two fuel rails, so 8 injectors total for port fuel injection. The TPI TB is just to meter airflow, It will be attached to a custom plenum and aircleaner.
