I just got my tune from PCMfor less and Im using CATS Winflash to read my PCM. I have a 94 which should be OBDI but it has an OBDII connector. When I try to read it gives me Invalid Response from PCM.
I have a laptop with a USB to serial connector which is connected to the ALDL connector. Im using the right comm port.. I dont know why its doing this.
Bryan from pcmforless just emailed me back and said it is probably the usb to serial adapter (good customer service he replied within 5 minutes). I'll give the real serial port a try and see what happens.
It was the USB to serial adapter that was the problem, I borrowed my brothers laptop with a serial connection and it read and programmed the pcm on the first try. I think the USB adapter will work if I figure out what the baud settings are.. there are a few parameters you can change with it.

If the USB adapter fails to work what will work are the PCMCIA cardbus serial adapters. These are pretty reasonable and you can find them by doing a search on google or yahoo.
