Starter Interrupt Relay

Where is the starter interrupt relay located on a 84.
A friend of mine is looking to bypass the relay due to security problems he has been having.

You should consult a service manual for your specific year, but I believe they are in the dash behind the Digital Information Center.

Pull the center dash panel and the information center. It is behind them. The 12 volts to the starter goes thru the relay so the security system can prevent the car from being started. I bypassed mine because the contacts were intermittant

I need to bypass the starter interrupt relay on my 84 to.. the connecter to the relay is broke and it won't start. How do you bypass it?

Check the picture in this video intro:

The older cars that don't have VATS use the same relay. It's just controlled by the TDS system instead of VATS and does the same thing.
